Goliath - Hospice the Dog needs a home

GPMR does not have a shelter. All of our dogs are kept in loving foster homes. We must have a completed adoption

application on file before meeting any of our mastiffs.

  

GPMR adopts to the states of Oklahoma, Texas, Kansas, Arkansas, Missouri, Louisiana and parts of Colorado. 

!!!Any mastiffs being adopted out of the state of Oklahoma require a health certificate to be paid for by the adopter!!!

 



 


 

UPDATE: Due to Goliath's age and advancing arthritis, he is now a "hospice" foster and will stay with his foster dad for whatever quality time he has left. It's costly for the rescue to keep up with the monthly expenses for our hospice dogs, please consider a donation for their care!


Meet Goliath!  Although his age in years is 11, his "Spirit Age" is so much younger. Goliath,sadly, was surrendered by his owners when they moved and were unable to take him.  He is very shy with strangers at first, but warms up quickly, especially when offered belly rubs!  Goliath prefers to be around an older more mature crowd, so a family without young children is necessary.  He has spent most of his life outside, and is now working on adjusting to being an inside dog. He has shown his foster family that his most treasured discovery is his inside soft doggie bed!   Such a simple discovery with life changing results.
 Goliath came to GPMR with ear and eye infections, both of which have been treated.  He did test positive for heartworms, which is has not shown to be severe and can be treated with monthly heart worm prevention.  He is also on supplements for arthritis, which help him act his "Spirit Age".
Goliath's trademark, and funniest trait, is his super long tongue which tends to hang out on the floor when he is laying down.  This gentle giant would be a great addition to the right family so get your applications in today!
